8% Double IPA Anniversary collaboration with Hidden River. It had been a while since we got together with the @HiddenRiverBeer gang to brew some beer, and we figured a DIPA to celebrate our 14th Anniversary was the perfect occasion. We mashed in 2-row barley and lots of flaked oats, and let the Hidden River dudes throw hops wherever they damned well pleased, and it sure pleased them to throw hops just about every-damn-where! Citra, Cascade, Riwaka, and Strata made their way into the mashtun, the kettle early and late, and extra charges were added to the dry hopper. The beer pours with a Douglasville-style haze and really bursts with hop character out of the glass. We’re getting notes of mango-heavy fruit cocktail, fresh squeezed tangerine juice, psychedelic grapefruit, when you first enter the dispensary, ethereal pink cherries, and sharing a box of orange creamsicles with your pals.

Received a 16 oz can from @jzeilinger 5-23-26. No canning date; consumed 6-3-26. Cold stored since acquisition.
Beer poured hazy and cloudy, a golden orange color with a huge head from an aggressive pour.
Nose leans dank with a citrus and floral hops leading the way. Get some tropical hops as well.
Taste is a larger pale malt base in which the hopping gives me an orange and grapefruit dominant flavor up front and a nice does of zest and pine on the back end; 7/10 on my bitterness scale. Post sip aspirations gives me mango, guava, and passion fruit.
Mouthfeel is soft and smooth.
Overall, a lot of hop flavor going on and it works out very nicely in the end.

Canned on: ??????
A - Opaque, dark golden mango colored pour with frothy, creamy lacing.
S - Weedy, herbally fruity aroma.
T - Weedy, earthy, herbally, citrus, and fruit cocktail while ending on the balanced side. Lingering balanced herbally citrus. There's a tremendous amount of resin that hangs out on the palate (which is really nice).
M - Medium body and thin around the edges.
O - An herbally weed bomb with underlying dank citrus that lingers well after the sip.
