We have once again created a great blend from the brewery for our cellar stash release. This years is a blend of 30% Honeybell wild and sour tangelo farmhouse ale, 30% 2013 spontaneously fermented Turbulent Consequence, and 40% Tripel matured in French Cognac barrels with fresh pressed grapefruit juice. 8.25% ABV

375 mL bottle poured into a snifter.
Appearance - Mostly clear orange. No head. No collar.
Smell - Cognac and woodiness. A bit tropical. Grapefruit. Some pale malt.
Taste - Did not realize this was sour. Kinda tart. Citrusy. Stone fruit sourness. Woody in the back end. Pithy citrus bitterness and some cognac.
Mouthfeel - Medium body. Tastes a little boozy.
Overall - Intense.

enjoyed from a block 15 pils glass. the beer is mostly dominated by the triple in cognac but there are some subtle plastic sour in the background. at first it was more plasticy, but then as it opens up got really nice w honey tripe overy cognac (nice blend). very enjoyable...I get some grapefruit after reading the description but otherwise not really outwardly noticeable
