Born in the land of the free and the home of the IPA, this independently-brewed ale was crafted with 100% American ingredients by our free-thinking brew team. American grown malted barley blends with crisp American Ale yeast to pave the way for an explosion of pine, mango & zesty orange peel notes bursting from a bountiful addition of Northwest-grown hops. This hopped-up ode to our U.S. of A. is perfect for celebrating your independence this Summer. BOOM!

Pint glass poured from a 32oz growler. From Growl Movement in Salem. Slightly hazy golden coloured ale with a large frothy/biubbly white head. Aromas of tropical fruit and pine needles!,,somewhat herbal and with hay like malts. Taste very juicy fruits but balanced by a strong malt base,,again some hay and pine. Nice. Very good smooth medium carbonated mouth feel and excellent IPA

Can from Bailey's, 2018 version.
A clear light orange with a dense, off-white head with excellent retention and lacing, this looks great. The nose is bright with pine, some citrus and a moderate amount of tropical fruit, a nice blend of dankness and fruit. The palate opens with a nice, clean bitterness, with a blend of pine and citrus pith, along with some peach and mango. Drying on the finish with a lingering bitterness, this beer is medium-light in body and moderately carbonated. Nice stuff.

Reviewed from a growler fill purchased earlier this evening at the SE Portland location of The Growler Guys. Sampled from a small Becker style glass.
Appearance:
Red White and BOOM! IPA is golden-orange and clear. The head is white and fairly dense, with good retention.
Smell:
Mostly pine/spruce and tropical fruit, with a green herbal note which is kind of like thyme, but spicy like oregano. The Block 15 email I received earlier this week notes that there is "subtle tangerine," but I don't get any of that myself.
Taste:
Dry and nicely bready up front, with a mild sweetness and slight tanginess. Bitterness starts out moderate, but gains momentum through the middle and finishes with an impressive and satisfying grapefruit pith/herbal hop punch that lasts and lasts.
Feel:
The carbonation is moderate, and the body feels a bit heavy with a nice creaminess.
Overall:
Although I don't think this is quite as good as Sticky Hands, this is still another winner from Block 15. While I generally prefer a lighter-bodied, more citrusy IPA, the creamy body of this one is a nice complement for the bready character of the taste. If you see it, don't hesitate to order a pint.
