this is good, not as fresh in my experience on the coffee as would be ideal, but well made stuff with quite a lot of coffee added, low acidity too thanks to the infusion method, well done. its bold and roasty on the coffee side, bitter in the aroma and the flavor, slightly oxidized too, but not bad. this looks nice and dark, but to me it almost drinks more like a dark brown ale, less roast from barley than expected, more caramel and cocoa malty richness in the middle, some of that is obviously coming from the coffee, but they did build up the middle of this quite a little bit. even though its plenty roasty overall, its also a little bit sweet in the center before the finish dries out almost like a lager, an interesting mouthfeel journey here. the flavor lingers past the swallow but not due to sugars. subtle hints of licorice, smoke, and dark chocolate through this, a lighter medium body for the style, and the ferment is real clean. this is super nicely proportioned and balanced and smooth, and the execution overall is fantastic, exactly the kind of thing i want to drink this time of year. i hope to catch it a little fresher next time to really get the best of the coffee, but even without it, i liked this a lot. a treat to drink some block 15 cans with the boys!

Look: Pitch black with an awesome-looking light brown head that balloons up and ever-so-slowly recedes, leaving great lacing behind
Aroma: Rich coffee, dark chocolate, roast, some light nutty notes, and some earthiness
Taste: Starts out with a huge dark chocolate note and immediately followed by waves of rich cold-brewed coffee and roast. Earthiness and slight sweetness go back and forth and the nutty note appears occasionally also. Closes with lots of chocolate and coffee
Mouthfeel: Full, silky smooth, medium-high carbonation, and a nice robust and slightly dry finish
Overall: This stuff is awesome. Easily my favorite of these folks’ dark/roasted barley beers and they make several good ones. The cold-brewed coffee adds tons of flavor/aroma depth to what is a great stout base beer and the balance of sweet and robust/dry is spot on for me. A yearly purchase when it’s out and highly recommended

Poured from 16oz tall can into a tulip.
Appearance: rich, dark, chocolatey brown hue with a thick finger of creamy tan foam atop. The head looks like a milkshake; I love it.
Smell: lots of coffee and a little chocolate character. There's a little sweetness, as well as a little "green" quality, but overall this is a nice-smelling coffee stout.
Taste: like the aroma, there is a whole lot of coffee flavor here, but it complements the stout very well. The chocolate and sweet undertones make for a nicely dessert-y beer; I dig it.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a moderate-to-high carbonation and a very smooth creaminess. The texture works very well for the style of beer.
Overall: this is a darn tasty beer. I suggested above that it makes a good dessert, but it would also make for an outstanding breakfast beer, say, while camping. I quite enjoy it.

Inky black pour, frothy head which settles down quickly. Thin lacing. Nose is all roast - coffee, malt, chocolate. Taste is edging to the iced coffee side, with a pleasant kick from the 7% ABV. Let it warm a little and more, deeper layers of taste come through. You will get caramel, chocolate and hints of licorice. It's a little sweet for our taste, but far from cloyingly sweet, a little light on malt / grain. Long finish, no residual off-notes and subdued carbonation. Highly recommended. Get this before our long, damp winter departs. It's not the brew for a hot summer afternoon.

Canned 7th Dec, purchased at ABV.
Almost black with dark brown highlights, this beer is capped with a dense, brown head with good retention and lacing. The nose opens with a huge coffee hit, dark, roasty, fruity and clean. This is followed by notes from the base stout with moderate roasted grain, cocoa and dark chocolate. A touch of vanilla and oats is also present. The palate opens with a lot of coffee flavor. Fruity with dried blueberries and blackberries, cocoa and roast, there's a lot of depth here. Acidity is minimal, and the base beer is constructed to highlight this. Mildly sweet on the mid palate with hints of vanilla, oats and maple sugar. Roasty, creamy and fruity on the finish, this beer is medium bodies and a little thin with a light bitterness. Solid.

Another pitch black coffee stout mirroring its heated beverages influence. Clean but dark, with an appropriate espresso froth resting above. Like a properly streamed latte, this leaves ring after ring of foam residue.
The aroma is all cold brew. Slowly stepped and intense beans. Hints of dark chocolate and burnt edges of toasted cinnamon rolls minus the icing.
Less coffee than expected in the flavor. Light roast dominated by semi sweet chocolate chips and a sweet dinner roll breadiness. An earthy dirty hop slap in the finish.
Even the texture aligns with a fresh brewed latte. Smooth with a touch of creaminess and a robust charred bitter bite on the end. Well balanced and full figured, this beer.
A very easy drinking beer. Like a perfect blend of milk and coffee stouts. Well made, as expected by this wonderful brewery from our friends down south.
Cheers.
