On tap at Growler Guys the other day.
The beer pours a striking copper amber color with pretty good retention and lacing. On the nose, this beer smells terrific. There is a huge aroma of tropical fruit, dank week, light pine, pepper and dry citrus. Given how great this beer smells, I was taken aback by what I tasted. While the flavor profile replicated the nose to a large extent, this beer is very sweet and malty, and I just didn't think the hoppy bitterness (which is considerable) was sufficient to handle it. Also, this beer is very hot and boozy, and the alcoholic bite was very noticeable on the finish. B15 is selling this in 16 ounce can 4 packs, which is just unimaginable to me. I could barely make it through my 4 ounce sampler glass, and consuming 16 ounces of this at a sitting is unimaginable. To say the least, drinkability is not this beer's strong suit.
For those who love the Sticky Hands style, you may find this enjoyable. For me, this was like Sticky Hands on steroids, and was just too much of a good thing (as mentioned by EdwardAbbey, this beer has virtually nothing in common with the regular Intergalactic HopShop). The beer comes across as boozy, unbalanced, and just no fun to drink. Am very glad I did not pick up a 4 pack of this beer (as I have no idea what I would have done with it).

Although this was billed as a "boosted version" of the regular IHS, I've been struggling to see the connection after a few cans. This beer looks, smells, and tastes nothing like that one. It's still pretty good for such a big beer, but a little sweet and it distinguishes itself in no way. Moreover, the false advertising just seems kinda strange. Block 15 is great, but this was not, to me, one of their best efforts, even if it remains a reasonably quaffable one...

A mildly hazy orange with a dense, off-white head with excellent retention and lacing, this looks great. The nose is a hop explosion with plenty of fruit and with a little sweetness. Melon, citrus, mango, pineapple, pine, grapefruit.... this is just endlessly fruity and hoppy, bright and delightful. The palate opens with a potent bitterness but also with tons of fruity hops. Citrus and tropical fruit dominate, but some pine is present as well. Juicy, bitter, zesty, pithy, this is truly a wonderful blend of hops. A mild fruity sweetness is present as well. Bitter and sweet on the finish with a ton of fruit, this is a pretty excellent 3x IPA.

I could describe the color, the head and the mouth fell. However, I am going to leave that to the other reviewers. Lets start with the smell, this beer climbs out of the glass and grabs you by the nostrils. Its sweet, fruity and floral. The smell transfers to the taste, adding elements of booziness and Maui Gold Pineapple. The sweet Pineapple flavor lingers in the back of the plate until it is extinguished with yet another drink. As my plate started to tire and the a bit of a buzz started to kick in, I enjoyed the beer more than I did with a clean palate. Buy this beer if you can find it, drink it now and move on. For me, its an average triple IPA, which saddens me given my love for Block 15.
