Summer Shortcake features a blend of sour blonde ales, including a tart and zippy young beer brewed with toasted oats alongside rustic barrel-matured stock from our wild cellar. This blend of young and old was then conditioned on generous amounts of Oregon-grown strawberries and raspberries and matured on vanilla beans, producing a fruity, refreshing sour ale that finishes with a crisp acidity and lingering notes of freshly-picked berries.

On tap at Bailey's.
A surprisingly dark pour, this beer is amber with a dense white head that falls off rapidly. The nose is dominated by the raspberries and strawberries with the base sour coming in a close third. Clean, bright, fruity and mildly seed heavy raspberry with a bright and ripe strawberry character present. The vanilla blends harmoniously with the raspberry, an almost natural extension of the fruit character. Lactic, clean and bright with a minimal malt or sweetness, the base sour is appropriate here. On the palate, this beer opens sour and fruity with lactic acid, lemon, strawberry and raspberry present. Vanilla is a great complement to the raspberry here. Strong, lactic in the finish, this bet is fairly clean and doesn't exhibit a whole lot of barrel character. Very nice.
