This sunny IPA was designed as the summer edition for Bailey’s Taproom’s Hausbier program. Its generous hopping with a captivating blend of citrusy varietals imparts notes of lemon, lime, tangerine, and grapefruit. A unique Pilsner-based grist makeup and fermentation with English ale yeast combine to contribute a crisp, drying mouthfeel with just enough body to round out this bright, refreshing IPA.

I bought a 32oz Monster Can at Balliy's Tap Room in Portland.
A: Pours a cloudy golden amber with a thick lasting white head and nice sticky lacing.
S: A nice tropical citrus nose.
T: Great east Coast style hop bitterness, tropical fruit stands out.
F: Medium body nice carbonation and a clean finish.
O: A well done East Coast Style IPA, Block 15 makes so dam nice beers.

On tap at Bailey's tap house the other day. Supposedly, this is their new hausbier (lucky them).
The beer pours a hazy gold color with good head retention and lacing. On the nose, I pick up plenty of tropical fruit, citrus and light pine, with a hint of pepper. The flavor profile replicates the nose in this impressive NE style IPA, and the noticeable bitterness on the finish balances out the tropical fruit flavor very well. This beer really delivers a lot of flavor for the abv., and speaking of abv., it's very well integrated into the flavor profile. Mouthfeel medium bodied to full, and the finish is long and refreshingly bitter.
B15 deservedly has the reputation for making some very good hazy IPA's, but this is one of the best ones I've had from them. I really hope this is a regular item over at Bailey's, as it would be nice to have this for a full back choice any time I'm over there and don't see anything else that catches my fancy (not very likely I know, but it could happen).

Nice refreshing, citrusy ipa. Solid Block 15 offering as per usual.
