Our Mexican-style dark lager balances a delicate blend of caramelly, nutty, and toasty malt notes with crisp minerality and an earthy, lemony lager yeast character. It is fermented cool and conditioned cold, smoothing out the finish on this dry, refreshing lager.

Firsties? For a beer added to BA on July 30th of '17 and just now getting a review in late April of '20? What the heck is up with that?
Anyway....canned on April 10th. Nice looking beer -- clear amber. Modest head, light lacing. You pick up a healthy bit of malt, yeast, toast and some light grassiness. For a Vienna Lager, it's lighter on the roast than its Mexican counterparts and a little sweeter than American ones. Not unpleasant, could use a bit more carbonation. It's a little like the beer hasn't quite figured out yet what it wants to be when it grows up.
Easy drinking and at a 5.5% ABV in 16 oz cans, pounding a couple could be all you need.
