This classic London-style porter is the perfect dark beer for a warm spring afternoon, balancing a complex malt profile full of chocolatey, nutty grist character with refreshing drinkability and a crisp, roasty finish.

Dark, not opaque but nearly so. Taste is a little light and more bitter than the London Porters I recall from days past in the UK. Still, it's a fair example of many a draught.

Look: Jet black with a delectable tan head that swells to a pillow and slowly puckers as it recedes, leaving sticky lacing coating the rim of the glass
Aroma: Roast, darkened barley malt, chocolate, earthiness, wafts of brewing coffee, and rich bready notes
Taste: Bold roast hits up front and quickly after, a wave of chocolate crashes in and goes back and forth with roast as earthiness slowly creeps in to join. Nice bready malt and roasted barley continue to develop in the middle before chocolate and roast regain momentum on the finish
Mouthfeel: Full, medium-high carbonation, very clean feeling throughout, and finishes bold and with some light dryness
Overall: This is tasty stuff. These folks have been on a hot streak as of late in my opinion (even more than usual) so when I saw this, I had to grab a single to try and it didn’t waver from that trend. A really nice and well-made porter with plenty of roast, chocolate, and coffee notes along with a nice earthy undertone all culminating in a bold, drier finish really helped shape this as a winner for me. Very nice and handsome looking beer in the glass..dark brown with a gorgeous thick creamy beige head.
Aromas of roasted grains and dark chocolate and coffee. Some dark fruit aspects also.
Taste is again darker roasted/toasted grains..with a bit of dark coffee and liquorice
Nice thickish mouth feel but not to coasting..good carbonation leads to drinkability.
Overall a very fine London Porter.
