Our Dortmunder Export is a study in classic lager balance, giving equal voice to biscuity malt flavor, clean hop bitterness, and a clean lager yeast character. Its minerally water profile and gently bitter linger offer a palate-cleansing finish that makes for a delightfully refreshing pint.

Dark amber clear body, billowing large white head, moderate bands of lacing. Smell captures the grassy and leafy hops with grains well, malt is light with biscuit and general sweetness which is odd. Taste has those sweet biscuit malts front and center, thick too and nowhere near pale enough, hops and grains finish well but for the majority of the sip I would have never guess this was a dortmunder. Smooth and somewhat dank, thicker than expected though, definitely a new world take on the style. Solid, but better options out there

not bad, at least its cheap, but this is not the kind of thing i know and love these guys for, and its not amazing beer to me, stronger feeling and bigger drinking lager for its abv, more medium bodied and malt driven than crushable and light, mineral forward to the point of being slightly metallic to me, tastes like the can a little bit as it warms up. it is perfectly clear though and nice and heady from the pint can, great carbonation as well. the nose is slightly toasted on the grain side with a familiar german lager yeast strain in the mix as well, not super interesting and a little beefy to me, maybe not perfectly fresh either, but appealing and predictable for the most part. the taste is authentic, maybe a little extra hoppy, but its mostly finishing bitterness, not anything more interesting than that in the flavor. i like the lager yeast but the finish is a little metallic, dry enough though, and nice and carbonated. its fuller on the grain side, a hint nutty, a taste of honey, also some light oxidation at the end. overall i wanted this to be a little lighter and more refreshing than it is, but its still well made beer, just not quite at the level i have come to expect from these guys. maybe freshness was an issue, i didnt look for a date on the can, i will revisit this again in the future, but its the hoppy stuff and the funky beers that make me an adorer of block 15.

16oz can (dated 3/5/21) poured into 16oz tulip. Poured a very lightly hazy dark gold color about an inch-and-a-half of white head that had moderate retention and light lacing.

Solid grains at the front of the aroma, with some floral and lightly spicy hops in the background.

Same on the tongue; very solid, earthy grains providing firm foundation, with the hops giving some floral, grass, and spice notes.

The body was smooth, medium-full, and had a dry finish.

Drinkability was good, an easy and enjoyable quaffer.

Overall, a pretty nice brew. Worth a shot if you see it.

Look: Nearly clear light orange/dark yellow with a spritzy head that swells and quickly settles to a lid, leaving good lacing behind
Aroma: Pilsner malt, floral notes, a little cut grass, light herbal notes, and raw bread dough
Taste: Freshly baked bread, dough, pilsner malt, and flowers open things up as wafts of grass and herbal notes slowly bleed into the mix. Hops hold the middle before some slightly toasted bread comes back on and along with floral hops, close things out
Mouthfeel: Light but full, very clean throughout, medium-high carbonation, and clean and crisp on the finish with a hint of dryness
Overall: This is tasty stuff. I feel it’s hard to find many folks brewing this style and so when I do, I want to try it – especially when it comes from a brewery I like and respect. A nice Dort with lots of bready but also hoppy aromas/flavors and a nice mouthfeel and ABV. A delicious and refreshing way to kick off the weekend. Recommended

Crispy golden yellow body, crisp bready malt and mild floral hops. Light caramel and grain. Medium lighter bodied, crisp and nicely carbonated. Hits the spot with a clean, non-perfumy aroma and flavor.

A very pretty beer, crystal clear, sparkling light golden amber. Head fades away, leaving a skim coat. Light biscuity aroma, tiny bit of floral background. First taste is a malty - honey flavor, clean and uncomplicated. A bite of hops bitterness fades smoothly away. Great choice for an early summer evening out in your local biergarten, or bsck porch as the case may be.

pours a lovely warm deep golden coloured body with a handsome creamy thick white head.
Aromas of grassy/floral hops and buttery biscuit malts..really cool.
Taste rich malt forward and ends on a nice light bitter hop kick. Authentic.

Very very nice dortmunder.
