Bottle at share. Cloudy pale golden pour, small bubbly head. Yeasty, dusty, tart aroma. Taste is funk, sweet, fruity and tart. Dry gums at the finish.

Lighter copper body, effervescent. Relatively strong acetic acidity, vinegar, some acetone, touch of citrus and wet oak. Funk is nice but I think the acidity and acetone gets overwhelming as it warms. Medium lighter body and good carbonation.

a crazy coming together of some of the best, this is done with de garde, upright, and ale apothecary, about as heavy hitting a group as you can assemble. we had this at the ale apothecary tasting room, and we loved it. its sour sure, but its got a ton of character, and i think the blend does justice to each of the breweries involved. id love to have the details on which beers from each were brought to the table, but i think its fair to say that the yeasts and cultures of each of these places is on display in this beer. i get the light medicinal funk from uprights saison types, tart but interesting, less acidic, and downright unique, more in nose than taste, but obvious to me, being a huge fan of all they do. the most mature parts of this taste like de garde to me, more lambic-esque than the other elements of the blend, that old world funk character has to be theirs. the ale apothecary part is likely the most sour thread, they have some real acidity going on in a lot of their beers these days, and its a unique pucker, appreciable through most of this beer. i know block 15 the least well of these three, so their contribution in terms of fermentation is less obvious to me, but the complexity of this thing overall suggests they have some pretty cool wild elements working as well. hints of minerals, peaches, white wine, vanilla and oak, honey, iodine, hay and grass, and lemony sourness are all here. its about as wild as it gets in terms of the yeasts, and yet it remains relatively drinkable for what it is, not challenging or anything, and oddly cohesive for all that has had to come together for it to exist. a fun one to drink, cool they all worked together on it, definitely a treat!

edit: cool to get to try this from the bottle too, from february 2019, now almost four years old. its doing pretty well, a little faded on the grain to me with some slight oxidation, but still fully woody and wild and full of life, brett running wild, a mix of strains to be sure, an almost funky old world cider vibe with some apple fruitiness hanging on, citric character too but not overly acidic even now. dry, spritzy, interesting, the kind of thing that makes me feel like i am going to live forever. this has evolved nicely over the years and was again a pleasure to drink, even if probably slightly past peak...

L: Pours a golden straw color. Slightly cloudy with off-white head that didn't last long.
S: Sour, white wine.
T: Very tart. Pretty one-dimensional. Lingers a bit sweet, but overly sour.
F: Medium body, mild carbonation.

Sour grapes dominate the flavor here, leaving little room for any other flavors. No real depth to speak of.

Pours golden with a cloudy haze and bubbly. Aroma is fruity and funky. Hits tart and sour on the palate and lingers sweet and dry. The tartness and complex with drinkability.

On tap at Upright.

Mildly hazy orange. Nose is super sour and acidic with lactic funk, yogurt, earth, a light sulfur. The palate opens sour with pronounced and enamel stripping lactic acid that makes me cough. Super sour and rather unrefined. Mild mineral. Sour grapes. Mild carbonation. Disappointing
