Nice addition to this ongoing collaboration between Block 15 and De Garde. Lighter than many of the offerings from either, but still a pleasingly tart saison.

a killer little blend here, collaboration with de garde, who has some spontaneous beer mixed with a block 15 table saison from what i gather, the result is money, and i was so stoked to find this one on tap! pale and lightly hazy with a soft rust orange color to it and a ton of carbonation amassing an inch of white head. it smells awesome, dried apricot and peach, mango, and white wine, lots of wild character, some subtle tartness and tang, a tannic layer, and plenty of white wheat at the base of it all. some nuance of cracked pepper, graham cracker, and green grape as i drink it, slightly more herbaceous as it warms, with some well established but maybe diluted brett character, and a cleanness in the finish that sweeps away the pear esters of the saison. some grassy hops are evident, even an aged hop thing, low alpha for sure, and somehow a cool freshness with all the wild character, which is the real beauty of the blend here, the young beer is critical for balance and contrast in this, and both parts are evident in the final product. its cool they do these seasonally, id love to get into some of the other ones, but this was a treat! two breweries who are really doing some great things on their own, no surprise this joint effort was so nice!
