Pairing a soft malt profile and a pair of juicy yeast strains, Double Dab elicits a double-take at the first sip, bursting with notes of pineapple and passionfruit, lemon zest and rind, and then eases into a wave of resin and dank herbs.

Canned 15 July.

A dark orange with a dense off-white head with excellent retention and lacing this looks great. Thebnose is super fruity but also quite dank and a little boozy. Melon, peach, passionfruit, lemon, along with a dank yet fruity weed note. Alcohol is mildly noticeable. The palate opens with a blend of bitter and fruity flavors. Oily, resiny, dank with grapefruit, lemon, pine, pineapple, mandarin oranges, mild mango and peach. Boozy on the mid-palate. A touch medicinal on the finish, can't tell if it's the hops or a yeast flavor. Alcohol lingers in the finish, lending a mild astringency. Medium in body, softly carbonated. Long finish with lots of fruit, bitterness and unfortunately, booze. Solid stuff.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a lightly hazy, medium amber with a three finger white head with good retention and solid lacing. Aroma of pale and lightly caramel malt, citrus and tropical fruit hops, orange, lemon, mixed light tropical fruit and a touch of green onion. Flavor follows, with pale and light caramel malt, tropical fruit and citrus hops, orange, grapefruit and lemon rind, pine, passion fruit, mango and mixed estery tropical and stone fruit. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. A very busy fruit combination from hops that somehow manages to come together into a flavorful whole. I'm a sucker for fruit esters in my IPAs and this one delivers. I did not expect the nice pine notes that are particularly noticeable in the finish. Maybe it’s the imperial ABV talking, but I really liked this one and it is definitely the most memorable of this series. I could drink this one all week. Hope this shows up again.

A: The beer is very hazy yellow in color and has hints of amber hues. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that died down, leaving a thin collar around the edge of the glass and lots of lacing down the sides.
S: Moderate aromas of passion fruit and lime are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has additional notes of grapefruit zest and pineapple that also linger into the finish. There is a moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a bit crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I thought that the flavors of this IPA were rather complex, particularly with the additional flavors of citrus and pineapple.

Very hop forward with a ton of pine resin. Some citrus notes. I don't think I could drink two in a row. Serious palate destroyer.
