Featuring malt grown and malted from Gold Rush Malt in Baker City, Oregon, this traditional English style bitter ale showcases a dark color profile and richer busicuty character that lets the male shine. We used a duo of base malts to create a crisp golden pint featuring moderate sweetness, low hop aromatics, and a bitter finish.

Handsome clear dark amber with plenty of foam in the Maredsous goblet. Crisp and sprightly carbonation; you'd have to call it American style. Thin of body and quite bitter for the 4.3 ABV. The bitterness takes over the taste, however, so it really is more like a "Session IPA." I wouldn't call it a showcase for malt. From the 16 oz can purchased at Garden Path. Dated 12/03/21.

Look: A lovely clear rich ruby-red with a nice frothy head that billows up and slowly settles to a lid, leaving sticky lacing coating the rim of the glass
Aroma: Freshly baked bread, toffee, red apple skins, some melanoidin, earthy hops, lightly toasted grains, bread dough, biscuity malt, and caramel
Taste: Apple skins, toffee, and dough start it of as wave after wave of malt-led flavors come crashing in, join the mix, and continue to develop. Earthy hops and some fruity esters continue to make their presence known throughout and closes with biscuits and toasted grains
Mouthfeel: Full, medium-high carbonation, very clean throughout, and finishes clean with a slight softness
Overall: This is delicious. English Bitters are a sucker style for me so I figured I’d like this, plus I’m a huge fan and supporter of beers like this that highlight malt as it doesn’t get enough respect from the masses these days. A delightful bitter with a ton of malt aroma, flavor, and depth throughout with a good hop presence and great feel. I’ll definitely be buying more of this

Can from Uptown Market.

A clear deep copper with a dense, off-white head with good retention and lacing, this looks good. The nose has a lovely ,rich biscuit malt character with toasted malt, mild butterscotch, caramel and nuts. Mildly spicy, earthy hops are present. The palate opens with a light sweetness with a great, toasty, nutty, fragrant malt character, rich and warming but fermented dry. A clean, fruity fermentation character, a spicy bitterness are present on a light, briskly carbonated body. Drying, fruity, spicy and biscuit on the finish. Tasty.
