Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a hazy, light to medium golden yellow with a two finger white head with great retention and solid lacing. Aroma of pale malt, citrus and dank hops, lemon, green onion and mild mixed tropical fruit. Flavor is pale malt, dank and lightly citrus hops, green melon, onion, watery orange and grapefruit. Mild bitterness. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. Whoops. So far I've been a big fan of the consortium series, but this one is a style I'm always underwhelmed by: hazy, old fruit juice NE style with low bitterness. The citra component is recognizable, but light in flavor with mostly lemon and grapefruit character. The Nectron is recognizably New Zealand with melon and mixed tropical fruit, but also rather laid back. Finish is ok for a hazy, but underwhelming from my taste in IPAs. The Nectaron name was intriguing and but like many New Zealand hops, just not all the interesting to me. Should be appealing to those who enjoy the soft, low bitterness style of hazy.

Can from Uptown Market.
A hazy orange with a frothy head with good retention and lacing. The nose is fruity with grass and chlorophyll to go with melon, stone fruit and citrus. The palate is grassy, earthy, citrusy, melony with stone fruit. Fruity, frothy yeast. Turbid. Mild bitterness that clashes with the fruit and the grassy flavor. Disappointing b
