Clear dark chestnut brown with plenty of foam in the New Belgium snifter. Modest grainy aroma with a whiff of green herbs. Watery mouthfeel that along with the carbonation is quite pleasing. At first it tastes like another flat Schwartz, but it grows on you. Roasted malt along with the charred grain aftertaste. A nice balance of bitter darkness and malty warmth. Quite restrained and highly quaffable. From the 16 oz can purchased at The Garden Path at Skagit County airport. Dated 02/16/23.

Look: Black as night and my excited pour brings on a luscious brown head that pillows up and holds, slowly puckering away and leaving awesome lacing behind
Aroma: Freshly baked brown bread, dark chocolate, roast, toasted bread crust, and wafts of earthy hops
Taste: Starts off with bold and robust roast and chocolate notes that hit hard and begin to develop depth. Warm and toasted bread follow the roast/chocolate start and intermingle as earthiness is present throughout and closes with bold roast and earthy notes
Mouthfeel: Full, smooth, medium-high carbonation, and a nice bold and dry finish
Overall: This is tasty stuff. I love a good, bold Irish stout and these folks have done an impressive job with this one as it’s well-made and delicious. Bold roast and chocolate highlight it for me and the dry and robust finish leaves no doubt as to what this is classified as in the stout world. Recommended

Canned 2/2/22. Warm to cellar temp before opening. Pour is dark brown, opaque in the glass. Very light head, aroma is a whiff of coffee. First sip is dry, as advertised, with a rich, well roasted flavor, more coffee / expresso taste. Finish is smooth and clean. For the style, it's right on.
