Look: Cloudy medium yellow with a sudsy head that quickly swells and settles fairly quickly to a lid, leaving great lacing behind
Aroma: Limes and lots of ‘em, lemons, lemon balm, yellow and green gummy bears, some Cannabis, fir and pine sap, and wafts of white table grapes
Taste: Whoa. A whole lot of tart citrus fruit – lemon, lime, white grapefruit, kumquat pulp, and conifer notes kick this off with a bang and develop well. Some diesel notes are prominent in the middle along with some white grape notes and closes with more citrus and conifer as well as a nice hop bite
Mouthfeel: Full, medium-high carbonation, and a medium-high level of dryness on the finish
Overall: This is awesome and this series hasn’t had a single letdown at all. I thought I knew what Chinook brought to the palate but was off and don’t really see single-hopped beers with it so it was fun and interesting to taste and smell the citrus/conifer bomb that it is, plus the unexpected presence of some white grape and candied fruit aspects. A deliciously unique and fun experience
