Slight haze on the bright amber brew, and plenty of foam in the Kasteel chalice. Expansive aroma of citrus with pine. Strong flavors of resins and peach and unripe apricots. A little soapy in the finish. Intense stuff with a serious bitter aftertaste that is only amplified by the alcohol. Six hops including Cashmere and Chinook. From the 16 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station. Dated 06/01/22.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a liehg to medium golden amberw ith a two finger white head with great retention and solid lacing. Aroma of pale malt, citrus, dank and tropical fruit hops, grapefruit, lemon, light mixed tropical and stone fruit; dank. Flavor is pale malt, citrus and tropical fruit hops, grapefruit, mixed stone and light tropical fruit. Pine develops into a finish with some dankness and a fine alpha hop bitterness. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. I was excited to see this years hop blend contained Citra and Simcoe, two of my favorite varieties as well as Amarillo. Three other hops contribute, including the chameleon Mosaic, and it shows in the hop flavor. It is difficult to parse out many individual flavor components, quite busy. Fortunately, it's a very interesting, if complex blend and has fine bitterness in the finish. A lighter malt than last year, and an equally busy hop profile, but I like it just as much. Sticky hands is a great series of IPAs.
