Excellent example of Japanese rice lager. Crisp and Clean… low on flavor - typical of this style. Subtle malt taste & feel (slightly sweet) - no discernible hop flavor. Easily readable “packaged on” date 07/24/25. I’m liking that freshness.

16oz can
Pours three massive fingers of creamy white head into my Willi. Retention is wonderful, after 5 minutes there is still a solid finger of head. Lacing however is poor. Body is golden yellow, crystal clear, with a moderate amount of bubbles coming up. Looks subpar once the head dies.
Nose has that clean light body you come to expect from the style, a faint grainy sweetness. A touch of grass comes out after the head subsides. Smells nice.
Flavor is…barely there. Really hard to pull anything out, maybe a hint of lime.
Carbonation is extremely low. Body is really thin. Clean, no sweetness whatsoever, but not bone dry - nice balance. Bitterness is very light, only briefly showing up in the finish. Overall the mouthfeel is pretty watery.
Drinkability is high, but there is little to make me care about finishing it.
Overall just really underwhelming.

They call this a “Japanese-style rice lager.” Pours a clear pale yellow with plenty of foam in the Stella Artois goblet. Pleasant grainy aroma. Sudsy and light on the tongue. There’s a hint of cereal taste, and then a green herbal taste that overshelms. Overall this seems overly bitter for something that doesn’t really have much flavor. From the 16 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station. No apparent date.
