Crystal clear yellow-amber with plenty of foam in the New Belgium snifter. Lovely aroma of flowery straw and alfalfa. The taste is elegant and really quite different. There is an unusual dark fruity roasted malt flavor that is quite intriguing, besides being delicious. There is a distinct hoppy herbal taste with a faint bitterness. It's a stronger sort of Lager but also boldly flavored. I'm glad to see this is in their Perennial series and it's back for 2023. From the 16 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station. Dated 10/31/23.

Look: Crystal clear bright orange on the pour which kicks off a sudsy head that rises and quickly falls to a film, leaving good lacing behind
Aroma: Pilsner malt, warmed bread, floral hops, soda crackers, raw dough, and a light sweet note
Taste: Starts out with a little pilsner malt and dough that hold and begin to develop as a big hit of floral hops follows closely behind. Jasmine, daylily, andromeda, and butterfly bush all in play and those and crackers hold the middle before pilsner malt returns for the close
Mouthfeel: Light but full, extremely clean, medium-high carbonation, and a clean and crisp finish
Overall: I’m digging this one. I’ve always felt these folks’ lager game was in the upper echelon from this state and I love a good Dortmunder so this was an easy decision to score and glad I did. A nice balance of malt and hops but turned up just a notch like I would hope and expect from the style. Delicious, easy to drink, and recommended

L: Nice thick head
S: Sweet. Wheaty malt, honey, a hint of spice, some yeasty fruitiness, and a hint of floral hops
T: Sweet and malty, but also brings a floral, fruity hop character. Wheat, honey, a bit of lemon citrus, floral hops, fruity spicy yeast, some pine as well
F: Medium bodied, a bit wet on the finish
O: Very well balanced, very drinkable, only complaint is it’s not as crisp on the finish as I’d like but that’s just, like, my opinion man.
