Don your lab coat and enjoy this supercritical display of dankness. We layered waves of Nugget Salvo, Galaxy, Amarillo, and CTZ hops on a delicate malt base to scientifically flavorize this IPA.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium golden amber with a three finger white head with great retention and solid lacing. Aroma of pale malt, citrus and dank hops, mixed citrus, tropical fruit and catty dankness. Flavor follows with pale malt, citrus and dank hops, orange citrus, mixed tropical fruit, light stone fruit and a touch of pine in the finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. The hop flavor is all over the place with this one, exhibiting the variety of hops used here. Dominant flavors are orange citrus, dankness and tropical and/or exotic fruit with pine and catty dankness in the finish. A bit busy, but hangs together nicely with the malt deep enough to support the flavors, but leaving herbal hop character as the main attraction. The main flavor is surprisingly well balanced for the complexity, but the nice bitter finish with pine was particularly winning to me. These guys still produce great non-hazy IPAs like clockwork.

Look: Cloudy and almost a glowing yellow with an enormous pure white head that quickly builds to a pillow and holds well, eventually receding and leaving webs of lacing behind
Aroma: Cara cara orange, strawberries, pineapple, honeydew melon, light peach, pine, fruity Cannabis, fir needles, raspberries, and some bready malt
Taste: A slew of orange-led citrus, mixed berries, and peach start the show off and quickly joined by some pineapple. Conifer notes and Cannabis pick up where the initial hit left off and showcases well along with light melon and all atop a nice soft malt base. Closes with citrus and dank
Mouthfeel: Full, medium-high carbonation, fairly soft, and soft on the finish with a little slickness
Overall: This is tasty stuff. It’s a fun, delicious, and a well-made IPA from these fine folks that hits some interesting aroma/flavor notes with the supercritical (I assume from the name) hop extraction utilized in this. A good mix of citrus, dank, berries, conifer, and pineapple all work together well here and I thoroughly enjoyed it
