Look: Pale yellow and opaque with a voluptuous white head that rises and slowly settles to a pillow, leaving webs of lacing behind
Aroma: Limes, white and pink grapefruit rind and flesh, pine, daylily, coneflower, tropical breeze, and some bready malt
Taste: Pine needles and a ton of them kick down the door and enter boldly as pithy limes and grapefruit rind quickly follow and join in. A potpourri of fresh flowery goodness along with the hard-to-describe tropical breeze (think a multitude of tropical scents caught and mixed in the wind) joins in the middle before citrus rind and pine close it out along with a bite
Mouthfeel: Full, lightly slick, medium-high carbonation, and felt dryness on the finish
Overall: This is awesome stuff. I believe this series is in its third year and these folks continue to knock it out of the park – this time with a new-to-the-series varietal, Cascade. There is a whole lot more citrus rind and pine than I usually pick up with Cascade and that along with the great floral and wafting ‘tropical paradise’ aroma set the stage for what I can say is a knockout IMO. Super tasty, well-made, and interesting and fun to drink. Highly recommended
