A contemporary West Coast take on the classic American Pale Ale. This beer features Oregon Promise malt, a Salmon-Safe variety from the OSU barley breeding program that was malted by Mainstem Malt, and Cascade hops from B&D farms in St. Paul, Oregon.

Look: Clear medium orange with a lofty off-white head that holds as a pillow, slowly receding and leaving great lacing behind
Aroma: Pink and ruby-red grapefruit, tangerines, strawberries, Juicy Fruit gum, blueberries, some fruity Cannabis, pine, crushed fir needles, and bready malt
Taste: Kicks off with huge resinous and sharp pine sap, needles and wet fir that sucker punch the palate quickly before settling and developing depth. A citrus barrage joins the fray and berries and Cannabis weave in and out throughout before closing with conifer and a nice bite
Mouthfeel: Full, lightly slick, medium-high carbonation, clean, and moderately dry on the finish
Overall: This is some delicious stuff and a cool concept for a series too. A tasty and well-made Pale Ale that treads closely to the APA/IPA line and is these folks’ entry for this series of beers between Oregon Ag Trust and several breweries, each with their own unique offering and highlighting the need to protect Oregon land for agriculture. A good beer supporting a great cause in my home state – I’m definitely on board. Recommended
