Crystal clear golden colour, probably the same malt bill as the standard IPA, with a bubbly off-white head. Poor head retention.
Moderate fruity aroma with some interesting notes coming out of the Calypso hops. Mandarin, pear and apple all play into this with a mild floral note as well.
Crisp but slightly astringent bitterness, I also get a touch of malt. Pear and melon notes come out along with a bit of grapefruit.
Medium-light body with moderate carbonation. Fine.
A decent single hop IPA that lets the Calypso shine. I'm not convinced I like the hop by itself but it's definitely interesting.
