Dark glowing copper color with plenty of foam in the Hopleaf goblet. Light aroma of grain and toast. Malty but tangy with some sweetness to start. Roasted malt taste with a bitter finish. The aftertaste is more woody and even a little astringent. This is the hoppier, bolder style of Amber Ale. From the 16 oz can purchased at the local Co-op market.

Look: Pours an unsurprising amber with a short-lived tan head that settles as a film and leaves a ring of lacing behind
Aroma: Freshly baked bread, toffee, light red apple notes, dark caramel, lightly toasted bread, nutty notes, and light earthiness
Taste: Opens up with a rich blend of toffee, caramel, and tree nuts that quickly gain both momentum and depth as waves of bread follow suit. Some dough, freshly baked, and toasted bread all in play and meld exquisitely with the toffee/caramel/nuttiness until some earthy notes appear and close it out
Mouthfeel: Full, smooth, clean, medium-high carbonation, and smooth and clean on the finish
Overall: This here is a good one. I love this underrated style for tweener weather months and spotted this new one to try and glad I did. It’s a tasty and really well-made Amber Ale that has a lot of depth and flavor throughout. I liked the two singles I got so much I already went back and scored a 4-pack. Recommended
