Bottle shared with friends. Cloudy pour, white grape juice color, small bubbly head. Aroma is tart funk with wooden barrel elements. Taste is white wine, notes of strawberries, dry, more funk, light sweetness.

Excellent look and aroma. Lots of raspberry, citrus, slight barnyard, yeast on the nose. Taste is interesting. Tastes like Atrial mixed with Das Wunderkind. By that I mean it tastes like the wild bugs/yeast/etc that JK uses that makes the flavors so crisp. However, it neither has the raspberry flavor nor the farmhouse flavor that I wanted; a disappointing middle point. Further, while exhibiting a lively effervescence on the pour, the mouthful feels oddly flat, like that weird taste when carbonated water stays out too long. Maybe it is just past it's prime. Good beer and happy to have tried but a bit of a disappointment.
Update: newer batch, raspberry still lighter but melds well with the chardonnay barrel. Mouthfeel is also carbed and refreshing. Rating updated.
