Inspired by the art of vintage ale blending found in the Flanders region, Belgium. Enchantment is blend of oud bruins (old browns); 6-33 months matured in first and second use American oak bourbon barrels. Brewed into our open fermenter with a custom mix of brewer’s yeast, brettanomyces, and acid producing bacteria. This blend is a selection of five barrels from the program. Enchantment pours dark brown with magenta highlights and a fleeting off white head. The aroma and flavor show hints of cocoa, dried fruits, black cherries, oak and tobacco. Balanced acidity provides a vinous and refreshing finish.

Pour is dark brown with a small amount of tan head. Nose is fudge and brown sugar, a bit green, then acetic acid. Flavor follows suit, light fudge, brown sugar, medicinal note, sour cherry, faint acetic acid. Body is soft and light with a nice carb and semi dry finish.

Poured nearly flat into stemmed glass. A very minimal head formed around the edge. Served cold.
Allowed to warm, aroma is of cherries and little else. I don't pick up much of the bourbon.
Taste follows aroma. Very pleasant tartness. Absolutely sublime. Wonderful. Cherries, slight bourbon, the brett shines.
Aftertaste allows experience to linger. Could sip on this all day. I wish I had more. This one was a gift but will definitely be looking for it when I get to Oregon - and anywhere else that Block 15 might show up.
If you like sour, this is a must have.

Pours a hazy orange-brown with a foamy khaki head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace slowly drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is slightly sour and tart with malt, fruit, bourbon, and wood aromas. Taste is much the same with slightly sour and tart malt and fruit flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that has a nice balance between the sour and bourbon barrel qualities.
