Our 2021 blend takes carefully selected barrels of up to 18-month-old Turbulent Consequence stock to further mature on a duo of locally grown autumn gold and white peaches for an additional eight months. Turbulent Consequence is brewed using historic lambic methods, including a turbid mash with Oregon-grown raw wheat and barley, extended boil with aged hops, inoculation by resident flora in our wild cellar’s coolship, and spontaneous fermentation and maturation in oak barrels.

Bottle, 2018 vintage, from ABV.
A mildly hazy orange with a dense, off-white head that falls off rapidly, this looks solid. The nose opens sharp with bright peaches and a noticeable and prominent funk. A blend of mostly sharp lactic acid with a light acetic note, the sourness is not hidden here. The peach character is fresh and vibrant with some fuzz and skin tannins present. A touch of vanilla is present. The palate opens noticeably sour with an aggressive lactic acid bite along with a blend of white wine, oak tannins and a little acetic acid. The sourness really opens up the palate to receive all the peachy goodness. The peach character doesn't bring to mind explosively ripe and juicy fruit, instead, it has a more semi-ripe peach character, focusing on the yellow-red flesh near the pit with the notes of vanilla and mild honey. Funk notes of preserved lemon and a little dust are present. Highly carbonated, this beer is light in body and sour on the finish. Quite excellent, this is closer in style to a peach lambic than a peach American Wild Ale.

Murky orange tinted golden body with a white cap that fades into a collar. Really nice full and juicy peach leading the smell, with no sign of minerality. Supporting oak, apricot, orange, and sweet wild funk round out. Taste starts with dry brett and barnyard funk, wet peach bring a shot of sweetness, before oak, wild funk, sliced green apple, apricot, a hint of minerality, and yeast finish. Carb is a tick high, but sourness is playful and full, funk is felt in sharp and dry ways, crisp finish for style.

Peche 2019 500ML bottle from Block 15 Taproom. Bottled in March 2019. Enjoyed August 2019.
L: Deep grapefruity pink and orange, thin head with quick sparkling bubble, quickly dissipating foam. Opaque and vibrant.
S: Fresh peach juice, tart and wild aromas, impending sourness, and an inviting funk.
T: Peach. Slightly puckering sour punch leads to the expected wild barrel flavor that follows. Depth unlike a kettled sour; the character of the barrel comes through.
F: Sparkling bubbles. Drying sourness and tacky gritty sugary residue in the mouth.
O: Very impressive. Excellent. Super fresh tasting and perfect for a summer evening. Wild enough to feel the complexity of the barrel behind the peach. Can't wait to get my hand on another next year.

Pours gold. Foamy, tall, off-white head that last a short while.
Smells Peach, lemon, tart fruit, Funk and musty.
Taste is tart fruit, lemon, Light peach, Funk, earthy and the hint of oak. Finish is dry with a light Funk Linger. Medium body and fizzy higher carbonation.
