A blend of Super Nebula, Nebula, and Imagine matured in bourbon barrels with Tahitian vanilla pods and organic Peruvian coffee beans. A deeply complex combination with notes of cocoa, chocolate and bourbon. The sweet body is gently balanced by the roast and slightly acidic Peruvian coffee beans. Good morning!

Reviewed from notes. 375ml bottle shared by Jeremy - thanks. 2013.
A: Pours black with a 1/2-inch thick tan head which fades to the rim and leaves spots of lace.
N: Chocolate cake, vanilla, malts, mellow bourbon, coffee, a slight cardboard note.
T: Coffee frosted chocolate cake, sweet vanilla cream filling, roasted caramel, bourbon and wood. Complex and balanced.
M: Full body and light carbonation. Creamy and smooth coffee finish.
O: Very nicely done. A treat for sure.

Thanks to John for the bottle(s). I opened one to share at a recent tasting.
Thick black pour, with a small mocha head that receded to a ring. Some dots of lacing stuck to the glass, and a few legs as well. Great aroma, chocolate, dark malts, vanilla and bourbon, hints of dark fruits, sweet mostly, with just a little roast to it. Taste and texture was right up there with the big boys of the style--BCBS, KBS, DOS. Caramel, molasses, milk chocolate, vanilla cream, bourbon-soaked oak, lighter notes of smoke, tobacco, red licorice. I almost regret sharing this, because I wanted the whole bottle to myself! (Oh well, I have another.) Smooth mouthfeel, full body, a great drinker overall.
I wasn't a big fan of Imagine...even after sitting for 2 years, that one was hot as hell, almost like straight bourbon. But I think blending it with some "lighter" beers was really the way to go. Brunch was a major success.
