Beach Camp Brewing - Grayton Beach

I visited this taproom on a rainy Sunday evening in the summer. It is located in one of the most ritzy vacation areas of the Florida Panhandle, but in a more quiet, wooded corner of it, surrounded by State Beaches and condo complexes joined by golf cart tracks. The taproom itself fits the quiet, wooded vibe and would appeal to both locals and tourists. It seems to have been designed to fit in with the traditional local beach architecture on the outside with a natural wood interior. It feels cozy but upscale at the same time. The production facility is just visible off to the side of the taproom. The weather must have been keeping the tourists away, because my party almost had the whole place to ourselves. We sat outside in the large dining patio and took advantage of the rain keeping things cool. There was a mellow-ish Indie Rock playlist going that also helped set a good vibe.

The beer menu had 10-12 Beach Camp beers along with about the same number of guest taps from other NW Florida and Alabama brewers. There were plenty of interesting things to choose from. Beach Camp is one of the more adventurous brewers in our local area in terms of experimenting with a variety of styles, and this tap list reflected that. As always, their beers were well-made and tasty. The food menu had many options that sounded good and the appetizers my party tried were delicious. Our server was friendly, but not as attentive as the small crowd should have allowed her to be. Overall, this was a good place to relax and enjoy a beer and I will definitely be back.
