The colour is deep brown, the off white compact foam sinks slowly down, leaving just a thin ring without any lacing.
The smell is very malty and sweet with notes of alcohol, caramel, some roasted notes, sweet almonds, hazel nuts, and puff pastry.
Powerful dry malt dominates the first taste. Then, the alcohol emerges together with some bitter almonds, beef gravy, quite a lot of alcohol, and some mild, dry bitterness. The body is surprisingly weak. The aftertaste is also malty with some bitter-dry notes of leather and a distinct note of alcohol.
The carbonation is rather strong with very small bubbles.
