American Stout brewed with a base of Maris Otter malt, malted Red Wheat, and a variety of different specialty malts. After fermentation, the beer was conditioned on a blend of different vanilla beans. Brewed in collaboration with our good friend Jason Stein of Timber Ales.

16 ounce can, no dating I was able to find on the label or can. Another brew from Brutaltruth, thanks! Served in a tulip, glass, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch and a half frothy tan head that stayed around for a long time. Small amount of lacing. The brew smells like vanilla, roasted malt, coffee, and some dark chocolate. Taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some dark fruit and burnt/charred malt flavors. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's a bit coating and creamy with a moderate amount of carbonation. Easy enough to drink. I thought this was nice, worth trying if you're able to. Wouldn't mind trying this again sometime!

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing nearly opaque in the glass with a thin khaki head that dissipates to sparse patches with slight lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, cocoa, vanilla and a hint of coffee. Flavor is dark toasted malt with light char, vanilla, drip coffee and bakers chocolate. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. A solid American stout with nice malt char, chocolate and coffee notes and some vanilla that is well integrated. The coffee component is charry and it's a bit overcarbonated, but flavorful and enjoyable.

Poured from a pint can into a pint glass. Two finger caramel colored head, which had nice lacing during consumption, topping a charcoal black body of beer. On the nose there were hints of both vanilla and chocolate, some wheat- yeast, with a bit of smoke and malt in the background. The first sip confirmed thses aromas, with a little more of the vanilla bean flavor coming thru. Smooth mouthfeel that satisfies the palate. Overall a very very good stout that pleases the eye and the tastebuds. Look forward to this brewer's other offerings.

From the 16 oz can in a snifter. This solid little stout pours a dark brownish
near pitch black with a moderate head of khaki foam that settles to a thin ring
and faint lacing. Nose of subtleties. Light dark chocolate, dark roast, faint char,
light vanilla, and wafting dark fruit. Flavors hit the mark with vanilla, moderate
char, dark roast, light coffee, dark chocolate, and dark berry hints of blueberry.
Mouth feel is medium full leaning towards full, light carbonation, smooth, moderately
coating, and finishing with a nice bitter malt note.
Overall, a great American standard stout done RIGHT. Looking forward to checking out
their other offerings!
Cheers
