On tap at Rohrbach Brewing Company Brewpub in Rochester, NY.

This one pours a dark brown-ish black, with a quarter inch head, and no lacing.

This one smells like cloves and cinnamon, and little else. It seems to have been overspiced.

They weren't wrong with calling this a Spiced Saxon, whatever a Spiced Saxon is. It's spiced to all hell, so much cinnamon and clove, it's really detracts from whatever else is in the base beer. The base beer isn't strong enough to stand up to the liberal spicing here.

This is medium bodied, with a slightly grainy mouthfeel, and a lower level of carbonation.

Not all that good, all in all.
