Wow, words somehow seem inadequate to desrcibe this beer. The brewer states that what he had in mind was an American strong ale. The result is exceptional all the way around. Gorgeous deep copper, slight hazy appearance, massive, tight, off white head. Big pronounced hop aroma... some toasted malt graininess too. Slick and full on the pallette. Starts out like a big hoppy pale, using Challenger for bittering and plenty of Amarillo post-boil. The Ringwood yeast and the Amarillo then seemingly transform the finish to spicy Belgian as it warms. Outstanding. I NEED more of this soon!
