wow, this is a hell of a session beer! pitch black, wonderfull tan head. aromas are light coffe, chocolate and hint of dark malts. Taste though, wow, a soft cascade of chocolate, dark malts, oats and hints of vanilla. Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, wonderfully smooth and creamy. Drinkability is excellent. I could've enjoyed this with friends for hours.

Had this on tap at the brewpub on Buffalo Rd.
Pours dark black with a creamy white head. Clean pour, nothing abnormal or unique.
Smell is very buttery, ringwood perhaps? Sweet malt and brown sugar follows but keeps coming back to butter.
Taste is pretty thin, nitro can do that to a low ABV stout I guess. Not much body even compared to Guinness. Taste is sugar and butter.
Easy to drink but not an oatmeal stout to remember. I should have gone with the Scotch Ale.

On cask at Mr.Goodbar, part of the multi-bar cask fest organized by Alex Hall. An oatmeal stout at 4%? Brown, stouty, tabacco, even a dark head. A tad sour. Good mouthfeel and bitterness. Stouty aroma. A revived recipe and a surprise cask sent in.Good drinking cask.
