Instruments of Pride is an imperial milk stout inspired by salted caramel macchiatos. It was brewed with a high ratio of caramel malt and a pinch of kosher salt, then conditioned on whole bean coffee from Fuego Coffee Roasters. Show our community some love and enjoy!

Can purchased from Twisted Tap in Rochester, NY.

This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small head, and a little bit of lacing.

This smells like nutty roasted malt, some caramel, bitter roasted coffee, and dark chocolate.

Despite the promise of this being a “caramel macchiato” stout, it’s not overwhelmingly pastry or sweet. It’s got a solid roast and dark chocolate thing going for it, with a pleasant dark and roasty coffee flavor, and just a hint of caramelly sweetness.

This is medium bodied, pretty creamy and drinkable.

Rohrbach’s Instruments series has had some pretty solid beers in them, some of the best beers that this old classic local brewery has done.
