A-pours a hazy golden orange with a white foamy head with good retention and some lacing
S-biscuit malt, orange, pineapple, apple, honey
T-pine, more pineapple and citrus, lingering resin in the finish, malt providing balance but not lending much flavor
M-medium bodied with average carbonation
O-fairly average IPA, I thought the aroma was a bit lacking. Would drink it again but wouldn't seek it out

Tap at the brewpub.
Mostly clear deep golden color with a stingy white head. Citrus and pine with some bready caramel malt behind it. Pretty old school a bit sweet.

This is a very good ipa, the flavor and aroma are top notch. Can be a bit thick, especially if enjoying a few in a row. Gets a bit foamy and doesn't have a great consistency to the head, those really are my only knocks against it, because all in all, it's good.

Abbreviated review. Sampled on 2/17/16 from 16 oz can with best by date of 3/4/16. Aroma: light hints of hop resin and toasty malts. Revealed moderate amounts of diacetyl - not to style or desirable. Appearance: head retention good with off white head that persists. Moderately cloudy. Flavor: hop forward balance with standard American "C" hop flavor at moderate levels and limited malt toasty bread flavors. Moderate amounts of diacetyl present - not to style and not enjoyable. Mouthfeel; medium body and carbonation. Low alcohol warmth. Low astringency. Overall: ok IPA. I would grab this over a molson... Diacetyl and metallic note really detract. To improve I would work on sanitization, and up hop flavors and aromas using some non "C" hops. Malt and hop flavor fairly well balanced. I picked this beer up on a whim and it's the kind of beer I wish was great so when I'm forced to visit my wife's grandparents in Rochester I could stop by the brewery and have a pint and a growler fill...

Poured into a pint glass from a 16oz tallboy.
3.25 A: Nearly clear light orange color. Three full fingers of foamy white head. Retention is about average and lots of spotty lacing is left.
3.75 S: Dank resiny hoppiness with some grassy and earthy undertones. Caramel malts, a touch of breadiness, but clean overall. Really nice hop forward aroma.
3.75 T: Tastes like it smells. Resiny, grassy, and earthy hops. Plenty of hop flavor. Moderate bitterness. Malts are lightly bready with hints of caramel and toastiness. Well balanced and quite tasty.
3.5 M: Medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Lightly creamy with a mild bitter aftertaste.
4.0 D: Solid brew. I bumped the drinkability score because some of the other scores were borderline.

Not a bad malt forward IPA? There is nothing bad about it, it just doesn't have a unique profile. Run of the mill IPA
