Patty's Irish-Style Cream Ale is brewed with malted wheat, honey malt, and aromatic malt from Europe, along with authentic English-style hops. Medium-bodied, creamy, and semi-sweet, this Cream Ale is truly refreshing, pint after pint. To contrary belief, Patty's Irish Cream Ale is not named after St. Patrick, but instead the founder's wife, Patty.

Pours a pale amber. Thin foam. Malty aroma. Thin and watery. Creamy and malty. Kind of bland for a red ale or a cream ale. I would pass on this one.

L: Clear amber gold with a smallish, short lived off white head that laces nicely as it dissolved into a film

S: sweet malt, corn like aroma

T: sweet malts with some creamed corn in the background, a little bit of hoppy bite at the end

F: relatively light feeling, slick over the tongue with a very mild peppery bite at the end, filling but not heavy

O: fits the description pretty well. An easy drinking semi-sweet beer with notes of honey and sweet corn with the hops almost hidden in the background.
A fine cream Ale

On tap in an oversized shot glass as part of a flight at Penfield Pour House in Penfield, NY.

Pours a clear, toasty red. 1 inch head, not much lacing.

Very weak, almost non-existent aroma- some English/Irish hop aromas make their way through, plus some mild toasted malt.

Taste doesn't improve a whole lot- it's mildly bitter, with some English earthy hop tastes- slightly vegetal and bitter.

Thin, watery mouthfeel. Decent carbonation.

Not one of my favorite Irish beers.

Rohrbach Patty's Irish-style Cream Ale is a very clear amber beer with a dense, creamy off-white head that has outstanding retention and lacing. It has a fresh, hoppy aroma that's very citrusy-- maybe orange or lime. It's pretty light bodied; smooth and slick with a clean, dry finish. It has a touch of sweetness and it's fairly bitter. There are notes of grass and citrus with a hint of nuttiness. It's very sessionable!
