An oat-cream IPA brewed with Pilsen Malt, Flaked Oats, and Lactose. Rigorously hopped with Mosaic, Galaxy, and Idaho 7. A perfect beer for adventures with your furry best friend, this recipe was crafted by our Brewer Robert, and is an homage to his loyal pal, Finn the dog.

Can purchased at Fattey Beer Company in Rochester, NY.

This one pours a semi-hazy golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This smells pretty melony, with lime, orange, pineapple, and some wheat.

The clear intention here is make this like something that Other Half would make, as their Daydream and many other beers are “oat cream” beers – meaning oats and lactose. It’s not exactly Rohrbach is known for, but they’ve done a decent job here. There’s a lot of fruit flavor here, with very little bitterness, and basically no maltiness.

It’s not quite as thick and bodacious as one of the Other Half examples, but that ultimately makes this a bit more drinkable. It’s creamy, but not super thick, with a decent drinkability.

I like the attempt to do something a little more modern from Rohrbach. It’s not their wheelhouse, but they can occasionally hit a solid line drive double, if not a home run.
