The FIRST Rochester classic. Rohrbach Scotch Ale is the second! This brew features a mixed fermentation with lager and ale yeast. It is golden in color with light hop character and a distinct traditional corn flavor.

On tap at Rohrbach Brewing in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a clear golden straw yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like straw, hay, corn, and grassy hops.
This is basically exactly what I’d expect from a good cream ale. This is the sort of thing that Rohrbach always would do quite well. There’s a nice smooth little grassy hop flavor here, with a crackery and slightly corn-like malt character.
This is very light bodied, very crisp, and so clean, you know.
I could drink a few of these quite easily.
