On tap at Rohrbach Brewing in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a dark-ish red color, with a small white head, and not much lacing.
This smells astringently hoppy, bitter, and earthy, with some vague spiced aromas.
The hop character here is kind of dirty and earthy, unfortunately. It’s astringent and just too bitter, with the malt character not strong or creamy enough to balance out how bitter this is.
This is light bodied, with a long lingering bitterness to it, and not that high of a drinkability.
This is not the best work from Rohrbach.
