A - Pours jet black with a light covering of creamy toffee colored head and a very thick lacing ring.
S - Malted dark chocolate balls, cocoa, and light traces of vanilla. The aroma isn't overbearing and smells quite decadent.
T - Follows the nose with a nice blend of dark chocolate, cocoa powder, vanilla, and possibly cherries? Flavor blend is even and consistent across the sip with a dark cocoa chocolate coating left in the mouth after the sip. Maybe some traces of bourbon in this???
M - Smooth and velvety on the tongue, medium to medium heavy body.
O - This is a superbly executed Imperial Porter and one of the best that I've had in quite some time. I think Rohrbach's has a real winner with this beer.
