I’ve been going here semi regularly since they opened. They’ve improved quite a bit lately IMO.
One of the major improvements is really only apparent when it gets really busy, like when there is a town festival on the weekend. Then they will open up the beer taps out back at the walk-up service window where they’ve put in a little beer garden area off the back parking lot. It is a nice place to relax away from the crowds on the main level.
The beer selection lately includes a little more variety than it used to, not as IPA-centric it seems.
Of the latest beers I tried recently, the “Rollin’ In The Deep” ESB was outstanding, a Gold metal winner. The “Bergsteiger” Munich Lager was also extremely good, as was the “Null Hypothesis” Belgian Dark/Strong Ale.
I’m glad the brewmasters are so diversely skilled.
They’ve always had a nice variety of food trucks, but the partnership with Walker’s Tap And Table on-site food truck appears to be working very well. My wife and I ate there the other night and it was delicious, above our expectations.

Just off I-70 on Main St in Mt Airy with plenty of parking on site. Bright and comfortable inside. The bar area sets off to the side as you enter with a few stools if you want to be closer to the tap handles. The well spaced tables in the main room have marble tops that give it a classy look plus a few cushioned sofas and chairs. The old vault (this place used to be a bank) is now the gift shop. There are a couple of TV's but nothing like you would find in a sports bar. No kitchen but there is usually a food truck.
Beer selection was good and included a few ciders. The dark rye was my favorite. Service was friendly and attentive.
The only negative on recent Saturday afternoon visit were the unattended, out-of-control rug rats. More kids than adults before we left. This is not the fault of the brewery; in fact they even ask parents on their website to exercise more control. Probably would not be a issue on weeknights and evenings.

Really like the beer - they have some unique offerings. Food trucks outside on the weekends. Nice outdoor spaces on nice days.

Cool enough spot in a former bank. Good beers, but they run super heavy on IPAs. At least they weren't all hazies. Bartender was also the brewer and seemed overwhelmed.
