Has a chance to visit the brewery, nice and the worker was very helpful and knowledgeable.
This was their west coast IPA, and its definitely that. It poured a nice translucent gold/caramel with a great head. The scent of an evergreen forest filled the air.
The nose was simply a pine forest, through and through.
There was a small amount of tart fruit at the beginning of the taste but was quickly obliterated by a lip puckering pine. The alcohol was in great balance. There was a cloy sweetness towards the end.
The mouth feel was good and the taste lasted well.
My feeling is this would pair well with wild game such as venison.
I felt that while this was an enjoyable beer, it lacked a bit in oomph, maybe a touch more alcohol or earthiness would even out the rough edges.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
