on tap at the brewery ans in cans -- pours a pale clouded color with a smallish white cap...Aromas indicative of a helles bock - sweet malts, some wet hay and slight pear cider tones......light bodied for a hellerbock, smooth conditioned mouth feel, well balanced....flavor has a rich chew of sweet bready malt, balanced with enough herbal hopping to cut any cloying....finishes wet, malty with a surprise surge of bittering in the end....warming yet not a hint of alcohol in the taste.
