The rich, sweet flavor of roasted calabaza melds perfectly with the chocolate malts in this Pumpkin Porter. A touch of Columbus hops brings woody, floral and herbal hop notes to this tasty ale.

Look: Pours black and a dark amber with ruby hues in the glass held to light. A frothy tan head retains well and leaves great lacing behind
Aroma: Dark chocolate, roasted pumpkin, freshly baked brown bread, dark caramel, light roasted coffee, and mild earthiness
Taste: Opens up with roasted pumpkin flesh and seeds that are quickly joined by layers of rich dark chocolate and caramel. Earthy notes peek in occasionally as pumpkin and chocolate go back and forth until it closes out with bready malt
Mouthfeel: Full, smooth, clean, medium-high carbonation, and velvety smooth on the finish
Overall: This is some good stuff. I like pumpkin ales but feel the flavor profile goes even better when paired with the chocolate/roast flavors of a dark beer so gave this one a whirl and glad I did. It’s a tasty pumpkin porter with a lot of chocolate character and tasty but subtle roasted pumpkin that pairs very nicely. Delicious, quaffable, and recommended
