Found it! The hype for beer lovers fuels out passions for the next, the biggest, the boldest, the most decadent, the most extreme... and if you still haven't found what you're looking for, then the search is over at Fabled Brew Works.
Like chocolate pudding oozing into the glass, This Is Not The Beer You're Looking For carries a deep and dark milkshake-like consistency while patiently releasing a dainty creme of froth. As a truly sultry scent of chocolate, coconut, coffee and sweet cream flood the nose, more impression of coffee and pastry shops come to mind more than taprooms do. Decadently sweet once on the tongue, early impressions of brownie and cake batter come with savory roasted marshmallow, candied coconut and sweet cream once more.
Much of the same transpires across the middle palate as the lavish and dense ale coats the mouth with a heavy cream taste laced with coconut liqueur and kahlua. Very latte-like, the ale keeps its milkshake consistency heading into a late palate of coffee-like bitterness for balance while still soothing the palate with coconut and cream.
Plush, pillow and pleasantly cloying, the pastry stout doesn't even try for drinkability, dryness or dryness. Instead its a serious reward for the tastebuds as its packed full of culinary art. Finishing unapologetically full, chewy and sense, the session closes with impressions of alcoholic cake batter.
