500 ml bottle, 2024 release, big thanks to Brutaltruth for this bottle! Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with not quite an inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both pretty good. I like the aroma a lot, the brew smells like chocolate, caramel, roasted malt, sea salt and a bit of coffee. I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some burnt/charred malt, dark bread and earthy flavors. There's a lot going on here, but all the flavors mesh well together and no one flavor overpowers the others. Leans sweeter tasting but not overwhelmingly so. Mouthfeel/body is full, it's creamy and a bit coating with a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought this was a pretty good brew, need to stop at the brewery the next time I'm in the area!

From the bomber in a snifter via the brewery. This solid little imperial pours
an oil slick black with a moderate head of brown foam that settles to a thick ring,
faint dusty film layer, and shows faint lacing with some decent legs. Nose of
rich dark chocolate, brulee, rich caramel, and dark coffee amongst some char
and roast mingling with dark berry hints. Flavors hit the mark with salted caramels,
dark chocolate, rich coffee, brulee, char and roast, and dark berry notes of blueberry
and blackberry. Of note warmth gives some notes of tobacco. Mouth feel is full,
slick, coating, rich, lightly warming, smooth, and finishing with a lightly salted bitter
malt note.
Overall, a solid little imperial
Cheers
