Deeper color than the style description, a chestnut brown with a creamy head with a disappearing act.
Slightly nutty and herbal, little aroma.
The beer is much more flavorful than it smells. Nutty, seeds and whole grain toast, with a little burnt sugar finish. There’s also a light hit of herbal metallic bitterness.
Nice medium “beer” body that’s satisfying with a carbonation bite.
Malt forward lager feeling ale, so it’s getting that part right.
