330ml bottle. Near black pour with a thin beige head. Roasty malt aroma, chocolate, ash. Taste is rich roasty malt, dark chocolate, little bitterness and some campfire notes.

Poured at fridge temp. Pours a moderately thick black with a thin layer of light brown head. The nose is full of roasted malts, black licorice, oak, brine, and dark fruit. Reminds me of a classic imperial stout.

The taste is intense. Roasted malts, molasses, coffee grounds, marine life (salty ocean note), chocolate.

The mouthfeel is medium bodied and the aftertaste is roasted malts with some salt. Really nice overall.

Im drinking a 330ml bottle poured into my snifter at cellar temperature. Received the beer as part of Big Stout BIF#1.
Date Stamp is 231115, which I am guessing is bottled on nov 15 2023.
The beer pours a rich cola brown color and develops a creamy beige head of 1 cm. This foam fades slowly to a very sturdy and dense head that settles and rests on the surface throughout the sampling. Great dense lattice on the glass after each sip or swirl of the glass.
Aroma is chocolate and cocoa powder with a bit of an earthy hop note. Im thinking I get a faint salt water scent from brine and shells, but maybe that is the label and my brain wanting to find that smell.
First sip reveals a medium body with smooth texture and some fine and fizzy carbonation that tickles my palate on each sip.
Flavor is lots of chocolate and some roasted malts mixing nicely. I do get some fudge notes and here definitely a bit of metallic or minerally note on the finish, which I attribute to oyster shells. Never any hop character on this beer and the ABV is also well hidden.
This stout is richer than I anticipated and I am enjoying the flavor profile. Glad to have tried this one and add the first review to BA.
